Belarus, Equatorial Guinea intend to strengthen co-operation in investment sphere

The law On Ratification of Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments has been signed, sb.by reports with reference to the Telegram channel of Belarus’ Economy Ministry

"The agreement envisages creating favourable conditions for investment; providing investors with a regime in accordance with the minimum standard of treatment of foreigners provided for by international law, including fair and equal treatment and full protection; protection against forced seizure of property equivalent to the consequences of expropriation and nationalisation; the possibility of applying to an international arbitration court to protect their rights and interests," the source said.

The ratification of the agreement will contribute to the more intensive development of trade and economic co-operation between Belarus and Equatorial Guinea.
