Belarus’ embassy staff visited View of Friendship exhibition in Tashkent

On August 3rd, 2024, the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus joined the employees of the Svitanak Belarusian Cultural Centre to visit the View of Friendship photo exhibition at the Tashkent House of Photographs, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry

The exposition incudes the works reflecting the lifestyle, culture, traditions of representatives of different nationalities living in Uzbekistan, as well as photos dedicated to the activities of national cultural centres and friendship societies.

The photos on show feature cultural and social activities of Svitanak and its Katyusha ensemble in Tashkent.

Aleksandr Opimakh, the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Uzbekistan, noted Svitanak’s important contribution to the preservation and promotion of Belarusian culture and traditions in Uzbekistan, strengthening Belarusian-Uzbek friendship and mutual understanding through expanding contacts in the spirit of people's diplomacy. He also congratulated the organisation’s members, who had been earlier awarded state awards of the Republic of Uzbekistan for their activities aimed at strengthening interethnic harmony and educating the youth in the spirit of tolerance.

The Belarusian diplomats and Svitanak employees also discussed the upcoming joint events in Tashkent and other regions of Uzbekistan.
