Belarus developed intelligent CT and X-ray image processing system
Belarusian scientists developed an intelligent system for processing computer tomography (CT) and X-ray images – as stated by the Director General of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Sergei Kruglikov, at a press conference, BelTA reports
“Belarusian scientists developed a decision support system, in other words, an intelligent system for processing CT images and X-ray images. In our opinion, this development will be successfully applied in healthcare. It has already passed a large cycle of tests and research, has shown its efficiency, and is ready for rapid implementation. Everyone already understands that regulatory legal acts are now required. Most likely, the system will be implemented in 2025, because this year the final stage of creating the central information system of healthcare has started, which includes a subsystem for storing medical data and images, which is being developed by our institute,” Sergei Kruglikov noted.
According to the Director General of the institute, the Belarusian healthcare system is ready to receive new information technologies and resources for use in its work, “And the task of scientists is to make a high-quality and reliable product that would bring real benefits.”
