Belarus’ Defence Ministry to enhance air defence forces and patrol jointly with Russia

As reported, in connection with an increasing number of flights of various aircraft close to Belarus’ state border and with the aim of preventing violations of the state border in the airspace, a decision was made to increase the number of air defence units on duty and ensure patrolling of the state border by Air Force and Air Defence Forces of Belarus’ Armed Forces jointly with the Russian Aerospace Forces.

The Defence Ministry also informed that a mixed tactical group of multifunctional Su-30SM fighters of Belarus and Russia already patrolled the airspace along Belarus’ state border yesterday.
