Belarus, Cuba discussed further joint steps to strengthen parliamentary dialogue
Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Sergei Aleinik and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Belarus Santiago Perez Benitez held a meeting to discuss further joint steps to strengthen the parliamentary dialogue, sb.by reports with reference to the press service of the upper house of Parliament
The meeting tackled topical issues of bilateral co-operation, as well as intensification of parliamentary interaction on international platforms, including the United Nations and the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
“The two sides shared their views on the international situation, confirmed the absolute similarity of views on the formation of a more just multipolar world based on unconditional respect for the norms and principles of international law. Moreover, an agreement has been reached on further joint steps to strengthen the parliamentary dialogue between Belarus and Cuba,” the press service reports.
