Belarus’ construction industry technology stepped forward
This opinion was expressed by Belarus’ Deputy Architecture and Construction Minister Oleg Shvets at a solemn opening of BUDEXPO-2023 international architecture and construction exhibition, which started today in Minsk and will last until March 17th
BUDEXPO is being held for the 25th time. According to Oleg Shvets, it is very pleasant that the opening of the anniversary exhibition coincided with an important day in the life of any state: the Constitution Day of Belarus.
“Achievements in the country’s construction industry in recent years have stepped far forward. Today we have something to be proud of, something to discuss and show. But the purpose of the event is not only to dwell on the achievements, but also to lay down new innovative technologies, a new vision, new direction and new materials for the near future: for three to five years ahead. Today there is a good foundation for the development of the construction industry, which is supported by the Government. We are now focusing on innovative technologies and digitalisation.”
According to the Deputy Architecture and Construction Minister, discussions and forums will be held at the expo site in the next few days, including an open meeting of the council of the Republican Union of Builders, a meeting of the council of the Belarusian Union of Architects, an industry discussion on the development of the market for services in construction and innovative technologies. Moreover, it is planned to sign a number of agreements and contracts.
“We will show our partners our vision of the development of the construction industry,” summed up Oleg Shvets.
The large-scale event brought together industry leaders – from developers, manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and materials to design companies. During the exhibition, about 50 companies from Belarus and Russia introduce visitors to their products, new projects, demonstrate new technologies and services, unique developments and innovative solutions that the modern construction industry cannot do without.
