Mr. Khrenin noted the results of the partnership between the defence departments of Belarus and China, “Interaction in the field of military personnel training is an important area of co-operation. A contract signed in June – that envisages training of Chinese servicemen at the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus – is a sign of trust and a high assessment of Belarus’ military education system. For our part, we are ready to expand the list of specialties to meet the specific needs of our Chinese friends. In addition, we have started interaction in the field of peacekeeping. During the recent visit of the Belarusian delegation to China, practical measures were identified to develop co-operation in the interests of joint tasks in one of the UN peacekeeping missions."
In turn, the Chinese Defence Minister confirmed his intention at the working level to accelerate the implementation of the already approved projects, as well as to bring military co-operation between the two states to a higher level.
