Belarus, China discussed issues of bilateral co-operation
Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik met with Xie Xiaoyong, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus, to discuss current issues of Belarusian-Chinese co-operation, including the upcoming top level contacts, sb.by reports with reference to the Foreign Ministry’s press service
It is reported that special attention was paid by the diplomats to the preparation of a co-operation plan between Belarus and China until 2030 and the promotion of promising co-operation projects. In this regard, the issues of holding the Year of Co-operation in Science, Technology and Innovation were discussed.
The activities of international organisations were also in focus, and – taking into account the upcoming full membership of Belarus in the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation – the readiness to work closely in the SCO, as well as to co-operate on Belarus' path to the BRICS group, was confirmed.
The parties noted the strategic nature of partnership between the two countries and confirmed their readiness to continue to provide mutual support in matters affecting the fundamental interests of both states.
