Belarus, Azerbaijan agreed on joint production of complex fertilisers
Belarus and Azerbaijan have agreed on joint production of complex fertilisers – as stated by President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko after today’s talks with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, BelTA reports
The Head of State recalled that Belarus and Azerbaijan are implementing a roadmap for the development of bilateral co-operation. A meeting of the intergovernmental commission will soon take place in Minsk; taking into account the new agreements, the parties decided to update this document.
According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, some things are already outdated, and there are projects that need to not only be worked out, but already implemented. One of them is the joint production of complex fertilisers.
“We’ve agreed on the joint production of complex mineral fertilisers. Why be slow? We need to produce complex mixed fertilisers and start from the domestic market, enabling Azerbaijan to manufacture them here rather than asking for some fertilisers somewhere. We have the technology, and we are ready to do this and provide the entire huge region. Iran, Pakistan, India consume huge amounts of mineral fertilisers. We will offer complex fertilisers. The task has been set to progress in this direction until November,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
It is expected that the heads of state will analyse the implementation of the roadmap in November. At this time, the UN Climate Change Conference will be held in Baku, and the President of Belarus plans to take part in it.
