Belarus among leaders in EAEU industrial production growth

Belarus is among the leaders in the growth of industrial production in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), sb.by reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC)

In January-August 2024, the volume of the EAEU industrial production stood at 104.5 percent compared to the same period a year earlier.

“An increase in industrial production in January-August 2024 was recorded across all EAEU member states,” the EEC reported.

Thus, over the first eight months of this year, the industrial production growth was recorded in Armenia – by 13.7 percent, in Belarus – by 7.1 percent, in Russia – by 4.5 percent, in Kazakhstan – by 3 percent, and in Kyrgyzstan – by 0.7 percent.

“The volume of production in the manufacturing industry within the EAEU rose by 7.9 percent, in electricity and gas supply, steam and air conditioning — by 3.8 percent, in water supply, sewerage system, control over waste collection and distribution — by 1.1 percent, yet it dropped by 0.2 percent in the mining industry and quarrying,” the EEC added.
