Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia met with Rosatom CEO
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi has met with CEO of the Rosatom State Corporation Aleksei Likhachev, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian Embassy in Russia
They discussed the main areas of co-operation between Belarus and Rosatom, as well as immediate plans for joint activities on bilateral and international tracks.
“According to the parties, the most promising is the implementation of the planned projects within the framework of the intergovernmental memorandum signed in early 2024 on deepening strategic co-operation in the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and related high technologies. Mr. Likhachev highly appreciated the level and quality of interaction between the Russian state corporation and the Republic of Belarus, noting the significant potential for joint work. In addition, Rosatom CEO expressed interest in increasing the level of Belarus’ participation in the ATOMEXPO-2025 international forum, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the industry, as an honorary participant,” noted the Belarusian diplomatic mission’s press service.
Dmitry Krutoi drew attention to the need to concentrate efforts to create practical conditions in the field of research and applied scientific activities in nuclear technology.
