Belarus’ Ambassador meets with Venezuela’s major pharmaceutical company
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Andrei Molchan, has met with Ernesto Perdono, the President of the largest pharmaceutical organisation in Venezuela, Motor Farmaceutico – as informed by the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Caracas
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health of Venezuela. As reported, the sides discussed co-operation regarding supplies of medicines from Belarus to Venezuela, as well as possibilities of implementing joint investment projects in the pharmaceutical sector.
According to the diplomatic mission, in 2020, the mutual trade turnover of the two countries made $1.3m (291.7 percent against 2019). Total exports of Belarusian goods increased 3.5-fold on 2019 figures – reaching $1.1m in 2020. Imports from Venezuela to Belarus increased 1.5 times last year to make $211,700.
Foreign trade balance was positive: $849,200.
In H1 2021, exports of Belarusian goods made $933,000 – which was 203.2 percent against the same period in 2020.
