At CICA summit Iranian President called economic terrorism a universal threat
Economic terrorism is a universal threat for many countries and requires Asian states to work closely together to build new models that can deal well with economic challenges – as stated by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi at the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), BelTA reports
The President of Iran stated that the United States has been occupying for decades and has shown aggression towards the residents of Pakistan, Syria, violating the rights of people, the right of peoples to self-determination.
“Countries that are sponsors of terrorism should not hide behind the fight against terrorism and hide behind financial mechanisms. Such countries cannot be reliable partners in the new emerging world order. New Asia in the modern world requires co-operation to build new models that can deal well with challenges in the economy, security, etc.,” Ebrahim Raisi noted.
According to him, it is very important among the CICA countries to create joint financial mechanisms using regional currencies to effectively combat economic terrorism.
“Iran condemns and fights economic terrorism. Economic terrorism is a universal threat that requires constant interaction and a joint response. A regional mechanism is needed for objective interaction and counteraction, peaceful settlement of important issues. And here the CICA states rely on the methods of promoting peace and security through diplomacy,” the Iranian leader stressed.
