Andreichenko: upcoming election campaign will test the strength of Belarusian society
Belarus has been established as a social state, whose internal policy is based on the principles of justice, responsibility and care for people – as noted by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Vladimir Andreichenko
The politician stressed that, even in the most difficult years, the country has not cut its social programmes, “Construction of polyclinics, hospitals, schools, roads, bridges and housing continued. Salaries, pensions and allowances were paid on time, cultural and social institutions, transport and trade functioned. Moreover, in 2023, the economy has grown, price and financial stability has been achieved, the second unit of the nuclear power plant has been commissioned, and the country's energy and food security have been fully ensured.”
Mr. Andreichenko noted that Belarus is now an island of stability and spirituality, an example of a truly democratic and politically just state. “We are aware that this does not suit many of those staying outside the country, and attempts to ‘turn us to the path of truth’ will continue. In this regard, the upcoming election campaign is another test of the strength of the Belarusian society. However, the state has the necessary resources, the credit of the people's trust and real sovereignty. Experts assert that no state is immune from external interference, however, ‘trouble comes to those who personally open the door to it’, and Belarusians have clearly learned this truth,” he said.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives expressed confidence that the upcoming election campaign will be held in accordance with national legislation, honestly and openly, and people who are ready to serve the Belarusian nation will come to power.
