Andreichenko: republican budget for 2024 is set at approximately Br40bn
Parliamentarians are working on a draft budget for next year – as Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko told reporters today after his report to the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko
“It has not yet been submitted to Parliament. In line with the Constitution, this will be done before November 1st,” noted Vladimir Andreichenko. “The Government will submit it on behalf of the President. However, the control figures are already available. The national budget for next year is set at approximately Br40bn. It was calculated based on the preliminary indicators of socio-economic development: an increase in gross domestic product (3.8 percent), an increase in investment, and an increase in exports at 107 percent. I think that we will now work thoroughly and in the near future, together with the Government, we will conduct a zero reading.”
Moreover, Vladimir Andreichenko indicated that in the near future the Parliament needs to adopt a number of bills: on notaries and notarial activities, on insurance activities, on licensing, on public procurement, on entrepreneurship.
“We’ll try to work so that the new composition of Parliament is left with a minimum number of bills, enabling them to smoothly enter the legislative process,” concluded the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
