Andreichenko: Parliament created the entire legislative framework for holding single voting day and Belarusian People’s Congress
One of the main directions in the work of the House of Representatives during the 9th session was to bring national legislation into compliance with the updated Constitution – Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko told reporters today after his report to the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko
“It was necessary to amend 88 laws,” he noted. “To date, this work has been carried out on 79. It remains now to bring nine laws into compliance. Five of them are currently in the House of Representatives, preparing for the second reading. Four will arrive soon, i.e., the entire necessary legislative framework for holding a single voting day on February 25th and the Belarusian People’s Congress has been created by the Parliament.
Vladimir Andreichenko noted that deputies of the House of Representatives work in their districts and meet with the population, “They explain the essence of these constitutional changes, the essence of the policy that is being pursued by our state, by the President of our country and is aimed at ensuring peace, stability and development of the Republic of Belarus. After all, not only the state must do everything itself, but also the citizens themselves and local authorities. They should take an active part through public organisations and other structures in order to make our lives better and more comfortable.”
