Andreichenko: House of Representatives of seventh convocation adopted 364 bills
The House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation adopted 364 bills – as informed by its Chairman, Vladimir Andreichenko, after today’s meeting with President Aleksandr Lukashenko
According to Mr. Andreichenko, the time during which the outgoing convocation of the House of Representatives worked was very difficult, “You all witnessed how external forces and internal detractors tried to destroy stability and peaceful life in Belarus, but the President and the authorities worked exclusively in the interests of our people. Deputies of the House of Representatives made a great contribution to that matter as well. In general, the work was organised effectively, we co-operated with the President Administration, the Council of the Republic, the Government, and local authorities. A distinctive feature of the current convocation is that we tried – due to the need of the time – to resolve issues promptly, to take the necessary measures aimed at countering sanctions pressure and strengthening the security of Belarus. The House of Representatives of the seventh convocation adopted 364 bills, and eleven of them were developed directly by deputies.”
Mr. Andreichenko added that serious work had been done to bring Belarus’ legislation in line with the updated Constitution, “About 90 draft laws were developed. In the context of a hybrid war, we had to adopt thoughtful, decisive and sometimes very tough bills. Time has shown that we did everything right. Today, peace and stability are ensured in the country, our border is well protected, the economy develops well and our people work.”
New deputies are coming to continue the course, and – as noted by Mr. Andreichenko – ‘these are well prepared people, they are true patriots’. “All conditions have been created for the new Parliament to immediately start working and adopt high-quality bills,” he added.
