Belarus is a very safe, clean and unique country – as noted by a former Donald Trump adviser, George Papadopoulos, and journalist Simona Mangiante in their talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel

The foreigners said that their first impression of Belarus was very pleasant. “This is a very safe, clean and unique country, and it’s nice to stay here. I saw a really healthy society and pleasant people. We also had an interesting experience of plunging into icy water on Epiphany. I felt stronger and healthier. I received a kind of feeling of fullness of strength, spiritual enlightenment and elevation. That was my first step towards Belarus," Ms. Mangiante said.

In turn, George Papadopoulos noted the importance of consolidating people around traditional values, “I am an Orthodox American myself, a Christian of Greek descent, and it is very important for me to be in a country that values the Orthodox Church, to see how united people are around their faith, nation, identity and sovereignty. I hope that the United States will follow this example. In many ways, I consider Belarus to be a model of what society should be like."

According to Mr. Papadopoulos, the US society was previously in many ways similar to the Belarusian one. “People took care of their family, work, husband and wife, and children. There was the protection of the family, and the family occupied the central position. Unfortunately, a lot has changed in the United States now, and sovereignty is under threat there. The border situation is unstable, and the church is under attack. There are a lot of ideological agendas in the United States, which is why I can hardly recognise the country," he explained.
