Ambassador: Great Stone Industrial Park is most important project in Belarus-China co-operation
The Chinese-Belarusian Great Stone Industrial Park is the most important project in co-operation between Belarus and China – as stated by Xie Xiaoyong, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus, after his today’s meeting with President Aleksandr Lukashenko
The diplomat, in particular, noted, “During my stay in Belarus as ambassador, I witnessed and participated in the implementation of many of our joint projects, and the Chinese-Belarusian Great Stone Industrial Park was the most important of them. This facility is under the close attention of the leaders of our two states, and it is a jewel of the One Belt, One Road initiative. Currently, 134 residents from 13 countries work in the park. The volume of investments amounted to $1.5bn.”
According to Xie Xiaoyong, Great Stone’s potential is far from being fully used. “In the first half of this year alone, 26 new residents were registered in the park. I think that their number will grow in the near future, and new residents will create various clusters.”
