Ambassador: Belarus, Russia doing everything to be technologically independent and self-sufficient
Belarus and Russia are doing everything to be technologically independent and self-sufficient – as stated by Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik
“Roadmaps have been signed for microelectronics, aircraft engineering, and machine tool construction. Today, twenty-seven projects – worth 105bn Russian Roubles – have already been signed. An additional pool of projects is being currently worked out, which will be considered in order to increase this amount to at least 200bn Russian Roubles. Russia is considering seven projects totalling over 70bn Russian Roubles, and we are not stopping this work,” the diplomat underlined.
According to him, Belarus and Russia are doing everything to ensure that the two states are technologically independent and self-sufficient.
In the first eight months of this year, the Belarusian-Russian trade exceeded $34bn, seeing a growth rate of 108.2 percent. The growth rate of Belarusian exports stands at almost 104 percent. At the same time, Belarus has a positive balance of more than $0.5bn.
Aleksandr Rogozhnik stressed that there are no unsettled issues on the bilateral agenda. The Ambassador said that in three months in Russia he had already visited 11 regions and met with 17 heads of regions, with each such meeting bringing concrete results to the Belarusian exports.
