Ambassador: Belarus-Kazakhstan relations fruitful in all spheres
The co-operation between Belarus and Kazakhstan is being implemented very successfully – as stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus, Timur Zhaksylykov, at a press conference for the Belarusian media, sb.by reports
Commenting on the co-operation between Belarus and Kazakhstan, the diplomat noted, “We have very fruitful, deep and close relations in all spheres: political, economic, cultural and humanitarian. Our contractual and legal framework covers more than 80 documents. We are jointly involved in major international organisations. Speaking about the economy, I would like to mention EAEU first of all, as well as the CIS platform that continues to be very important for us as co-operation here embraces a wide range of areas. CSTO is also worth mentioning. Let me remind you that Kazakhstan chaired the organisation this year, and a very significant agenda was implemented. Our bilateral and multilateral co-operation with Belarus is developing very successfully on various integration platforms.”
As Mr. Zhaksylykov noted, this is largely due to the fact that the countries' views on the international agenda coincide on most issues. The diplomat added that co-operation between Belarus and Kazakhstan is based on trusting relations between their presidents, “The relations between the leaders of our countries are a driver for deepening co-operation in all areas and in all spheres.”
The diplomat drew attention to the fact that Belarusians participate in important cultural and sports events that are held in Kazakhstan. Kazakhs, in turn, do not ignore competitions, festivals and contests in Belarus. “We constantly participate in the most important cultural and sports events that are held in our countries. This year, the Nomad Games were held in Kazakhstan, the Belarusian team also took part, and we are grateful for this. Kazakhstan, in turn, participates in sports events in Belarus. Our team took part in the 2nd CIS Games held in Minsk in 2023. This year our athletes participated in the shooting championship. In addition, a representative delegation of Kazakhstan annually comes to the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk, the Listapad Film Festival and other events,” he noted.
Mr. Zhaksylykov stressed that these are only a small part of the examples that can be mentioned in the context of cultural and humanitarian co-operation between Belarus and Kazakhstan.
