Algeria voiced desire to join BRICS

Algeria intends to join BRICS and achieve a new level of relations with the countries of the group – as stated by the Chairwoman of the People's Assembly of the Algiers Province, Najiba Djilali, TASS reports

Najiba Djilali stated that Algeria wants to join BRICS, since this step will help the country strengthen ties with key partners, including Russia.

The official noted that it would be a great joy for Algeria if ‘BRICS provides such an opportunity to improve relations between our countries’.
