Aleksandr Rogozhnik appointed Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed Aleksandr Rogozhnik – who headed the Industry Ministry – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia
The Head of State noted that, in total, our prospects for working with Russia rely on the projects that we have outlined, “They deal with industry. We still have a lot of questions there. Let him work on them.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed Dmitry Krutoi, the new Head of the Belarus President Administration, to keep these issues under control, “Where necessary, get involved the Government, where necessary, encourage the ambassador to work. Aleksandr Rogozhnik has been warned about activity in the Russian vector. The main peculiarity of the current Ambassador [Dmitry Krutoi] is that he is constantly on the move, travelling all over Russia. The same applies to his subordinates: if they fail to fulfil some obligations on time, they work on weekends. This is what is needed today for the President Administration and, above all, in terms of my control over the Government and other structures. We have to work three times more today than it was yesterday.”
