Aleinik on importance of negotiations with Equatorial Guinea: there’s a serious mutual interest
It is important for Belarus to develop comprehensive contacts with Equatorial Guinea – as noted by Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik, who participated in the talks at the Palace of Independence, BelTA reports
The Head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry stressed that this visit is a logical continuation of the strategy for building relations between Belarus and countries of the far arc, with friendly countries and, of course, with the states of the African continent, which is a priority today.
“Africa is the continent of the future,” Sergei Aleinik noted. “Today we are working together to intensify the entire range of bilateral relations with a focus primarily on economic co-operation. There is a serious mutual interest. There is a great desire to develop the economy. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the economy of Equatorial Guinea today is one of the leading on the African continent. At the same time, it consists of 90 percent of the raw material mining component.”
