FM: Belarus ready to resist attempts of Western interference into its internal affairs

Belarus is ready to resist attempts by the West to interfere in its internal affairs – as stated by Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik in his talk with RIA Novosti

Sergei Aleinik noted, “As for attempts to interfere, of course, we expect this interference, we have felt it throughout all the electoral campaigns that have been conducted in the Republic of Belarus in recent decades, without exception. We perfectly well see the rhetoric that is used by Western countries, as well as the large sanctions packages that are applied against Belarus."

The Foreign Minister also drew attention to the increased militarisation by European neighbours and military activity on the borders with Belarus. “Of course, we are well aware that they will not leave us in peace. We will pass this important path calmly and with dignity. We will clearly resist all these attempts to interfere in our internal affairs. We hope this policy will be supported by the majority of the countries of the international community," he stressed.
