Air taxis in Dubai to be launched in 2026
Khaled Al Awadhi, the Director of the Transportation Systems Department at the Roads and Transport Authority, said that air taxis in Dubai will be launched by Q1 2026, RIA Novosti reports
Khaled Al Awadhi noted that there is a plan to launch an air taxi service by the first quarter of 2026. Work is currently underway on testing and certification of vehicles together with the American company Joby Aviation.
According to the official, it is planned to build four vertical airports for taxis in Dubai. Two of them will be launched by early 2026. In addition to infrastructure facilities, a monitoring and security service will be created.
