Agriculture and Food Ministry hosted working meeting with Zimbabwean Ambassador

Mutual supplies of food products and agricultural raw materials are an important area of bilateral economic interaction. In January-August 2024, the trade turnover with Zimbabwe increased almost 8 times compared to the same period a year earlier. Agriculture and Food Minister Anatoly Linevich expressed readiness to expand co-operation, “For the first time, 50 tonnes of milk powder were delivered to Zimbabwe. We are ready to continue increasing the supply of dairy products and baby food. We are also keen to import exotic fruits, avocados, citrus fruits, blueberries and semi-finished products from these raw materials, as well as cut flowers to our country. We have carried out work to study the interest of Belarusian retail chains in purchasing these items.”
Ignatius Graham Mudzimba supported the proposals voiced at the meeting on promoting mutual trade turnover and building co-operative ties between the two countries.
