Adamovich announced nationwide New Year’s Eve Ball at Palace of Independence
On the eve of the winter holidays, the Palace of Independence plunges into a real fairy tale, which for several hours becomes a reality for young people. This beautiful tradition of sovereign Belarus is already several years old. This year, students and senior pupils who have achieved particular success in their studies, creativity and sports are invited to the event. A distinctive peculiarity of this year’s ball is the demonstration of the ballroom tradition of different historical eras of Belarus – as noted by Inna Adamovich, the Deputy Head of the Main Department – Head of the Department of State Special Cultural Events at the Culture Ministry.
“Various ballroom eras will be revealed through a theatrical miniature with historical reconstruction. The event consists of two parts: classical and free. As part of the classical part, new dances will be presented. Now rehearsals are actively being conducted with the participants. Last weekend, the first consolidated rehearsal was held with the participation of representatives from the regions. After December 24th, the rehearsals will take place at the Palace of Independence. During the free part there will be master classes in modern ballroom dancing and guest performances.
The event will be accompanied by the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus.
