About Br600 thousand to be earmarked from President’s reserve fund to support talented youth

On July 17th, Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree, approving the decision of the Board of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the Support of Talented Youth, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

In line with this decision, 192 university students have been awarded Presidential scholarships. 28 winners of international Olympiads and competitions have received grand prizes with the title of laureate of the special fund. More than 50 pupils, cadets and students have been rewarded with special prizes. For Nurturing the Talented Youth prizes have been bestowed upon 28 teaching staff.

Over Br500 thousand will be allocated from the national budget for these purposes at the expense of the President’s reserve fund.

Aleksandr Lukashenko signed another decree, approving the decision of the Board of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the Support of Talented Youth.

7 winners of international art and creative competitions, including the Kroki folk dance ensemble of the Minsk State College of Arts, have received grand prizes with the title of laureate of the special fund.

11 representatives of talented youth and the vocal ensemble of the Belarusian State Culture and Arts University – winners of international and national creative competitions – have been granted special prizes. For Nurturing the Talented Youth prizes have been bestowed upon 5 teachers.

Over Br80 thousand will be allocated from the national budget for these purposes at the expense of the President’s reserve fund.

These documents aim to identify and support gifted and talented youth, create favourable conditions for their successful studies, further develop their abilities and stimulate the professional activities of teachers.
