150+ local companies attended Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum in Ho Chi Minh City

A Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum has taken place as part of Minsk Days in Ho Chi Minh City. From the Vietnamese side, the event has been attended by over 150 companies specialising in the production, exports, imports and distribution of imported goods in Vietnam, sb.by reports with reference to the National Marketing Centre

First Deputy Chairperson of the Minsk City Executive Committee Nadezhda Lazarevich and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Vo Van Hoan addressed the forum participants as guests of honour.

Within the framework of the event, Deputy Director General of the National Marketing Centre Yevgeny Rusak held an expanded presentation of Belarus’ economic potential with a focus on promising areas of bilateral business co-operation, particularly, in the field of agricultural machinery and food, pharmaceuticals and woodworking.

The forum was attended by the leadership of 13 Belarusian companies representing the engineering, aviation, food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors, as well as the field of tourism services. From the Vietnamese side, the forum was visited by more than 150 companies, including companies engaged in the production, exports, imports and distribution of imported goods in Vietnam.

The National Marketing Centre stressed that such increased interest from Vietnamese business indicates that there is a serious potential for expanding trade and co-operation ties between the two countries.

The forum was co-organised by the National Marketing Centre of Belarus, the Consulate General of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh Investment and Trade Promotion Centre, as well as the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations.
