Supplies of Belarusian dairy products to Algeria started
Belarus is one of the world's top exporters, and it supplies its dairy products to more than 100 countries around the world – as noted by Maria Klimova, the Deputy Head of the Main Department of the Processing Industry at the Agriculture and Food Ministry
According to Ms. Klimova, Belarusian exporters never stop working to find new markets. “This year, they have mastered a new market: Algeria. Milk powder is sold there. In addition, Vietnam, Libya, Iran, Zimbabwe, Niger, Tunisia and South Africa have joined the list of states that buy products from Belarus. The demand not only for skimmed milk, but also protein-based milk powders is growing rapidly in these markets,” she said.
In addition, Belarusian enterprises are expanding co-operation with China by certifying new types of food. Ms. Klimova stressed that Belarus is making its contribution to solving the global problem of food security: its dairy processing enterprises export about 60 percent of products.
