Serbian edition of War for Life – Belarus in World War II book presented in Belgrade

The presentation of the Serbian edition of the book by Belarusian historian Viktor Yermolovich, War for Life – Belarus in World War II, has taken place in Belgrade, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Serbia

The event took place at the Institute for Political Studies with the participation of the author of the book translation into Serbian Dajana Lazarević, the author of the foreword, defence attaché of the Belarusian Embassy in Serbia Sergei Lavshuk, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Serbia Sergei Malinovsky.

The Ambassador noted the symbolism of the publication of this book in the Serbian language in the current year, which marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus and Serbia from the Nazi invaders. He reminded the audience of the tragic pages of Belarus’ history related to the genocide of the Belarusian people.

The diplomat stressed the importance of preserving historical truth and pointed out that Belarus continues to follow the chosen course of respect for history based on irrefutable and documented facts.

The event was attended by Serbian and foreign experts, representatives of the Russian Embassy in Serbia, the Russian House in Belgrade, and the Serbian public.
