Poll: majority of Poles against Euro introduction by new Cabinet
At least half of Poland's residents believe that the new government should not take measures to join the country to the Eurozone, TASS reports with reference to the results of a survey conducted by research organisation Irbis following an order of Radio Zet
According to the results of the poll, 62.9 percent of Polish citizens oppose the potential actions of the new Cabinet of Ministers to introduce the single European currency in the country, another 21.2 percent of respondents are in favour of this step.
The survey – conducted by phone throughout Poland – embraced 1,067 people.
The Law and Justice party – which was in power since 2014 – previously refused to switch to the Euro, because it believes that this will weaken Polish sovereignty in the European Union.
