Netherlands Chief of Defence: Western jets in Ukraine ‘don’t make sense’
Chief of Defence of the Netherlands Gen. Onno Eichelsheim believes handing Swedish and French fighter jets to Ukraine doesn’t make sense, RIA Novosti reports

“[Providing] French fighters and Swedish fighters … doesn’t make sense for me,” the General said in his interview with Breaking Defense.
Eichelsheim added that the Ukrainian air force lacks aircraft like the F-16s. While not denying that Ukraine will need more jets in the future, the Dutch General reminded that they are short on pilots.
“You have to avoid that you have more systems than pilots,” he said.
