MTZ to produce prototype of BELARUS-5022 updated tractor

By the autumn of 2023, the Minsk Tractor Plant plans to produce a prototype of the BELARUS-5022 updated tractor – as informed by the company’s chief designer, Nikolai Zezetko

A few years ago, the BELARUS-4522 tractor was developed, and four vehicles have been produced. However, while testing, the plant came to the conclusion that a more powerful model is needed. As a result, the 500HP BELARUS-5022 was created. A single copy of this vehicle is available, and it has passed the necessary tests. The latter showed that some parts have a reduced service life due to heavy loads. Therefore, a new more reliable transmission is being developed now. Other nodes also require changes. In addition, designers decided to reduce the tractor size.

The Minsk Tractor Plant has also created an unmanned tractor. Its electronic system of autonomous control based on data from traffic safety sensors and taking into account joint work with the navigation system of precision agriculture independently decides whether braking or detouring an obstacle is needed.
