Deputy: China claims serious leadership in the world
Marina Lenchevskaya, a member of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, expressed this opinion in her talk with ONT TV channel
The parliamentarian believes that the success of the Belarusian diplomacy is that we are able to communicate in conditions of normal and parity relations. Co-operation is based on mutual respect and understanding, Lenchevskaya stressed.
“We are not used to living like the United States, which shows itself to be an unreliable partner. I don’t want to offend anyone, but everything can be seen from the fussy Scholz and Macron,” she said.
At the same time, the deputy stressed that our President very competently determines the countries for liaisons. In this regard she mentioned China and Iran.
“Iran is a very high-tech country that is successfully developing. Moreover, it is closely connected with the Russian Federation. We share many common interests. China today is a powerful power, claiming dominance not only in the economy, but also in other areas. It even positions itself as an arbitrator in, let’s say, the settlement of some political conflicts. Of course, the plan prepared by China for the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict should be noted. The Chinese practically reconciled Saudi Arabia and Iran without military pressure and blackmail. China now is not only an economically powerful power, today, in general, it claims to be a very serious leader in the world,” she said.
