Media: US Navy is in its worst state in 25 years

The US Navy ships are in the worst condition in the last 25 years, and the industry is experiencing a shortage of labour, TASS reports with reference to the Defense News weekly

According to media reports, shipyards are experiencing difficulties with hiring and retaining employees, and the shortage of labour is one of the many problems that have already led to delays in the construction and maintenance of military vessels.

It is also stated that the industry is currently ‘in the worst condition in a quarter of a century’. ‘Funding uncertainties’ are another problem, they have already led to disruption of ‘the cadence of ship construction and stymied long-term investments’.
