Lukashenko congratulated Kenyan President William Ruto on Independence Day

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of Kenya William Ruto on the national holiday – Independence Day – sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“Today’s Kenya is progressively developing its economy and increasing its influence in the international arena, taking a proactive stance on regional and global issues, and is a recognised world leader in environmental protection. We highly appreciate the good relations that have developed between Minsk and Nairobi. It is gratifying to note that bilateral co-operation has recently gained momentum, and the main areas of interaction have been outlined,” the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State noted that Belarus seeks closer partnership with Kenya in agriculture, food security, industry, education, and IT.

“I am convinced that the effective implementation of plans and joint projects will contribute to the socio-economic development of both countries,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasised. “I am taking this opportunity to express my readiness to work fruitfully with you in the interests of our citizens and confirm the invitation to pay an official visit to Minsk.”

The President of Belarus wished William Ruto strong health and success in his creative work, and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Kenya.
