Lukashenko: Belarus created excellent foundation for energy security of current and future generations

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated employees and veterans of the energy industry on their professional holiday, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

"The Belarusian energy industry is one of the most high-tech and dynamically developing branches today. Almost all production processes at domestic enterprises, as well as the light and heat supplies in our houses, depend on the clear and well-coordinated work of a team of thousands of professionals involved in the country's fuel and energy complex," the congratulatory message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the electricity consumption is currently growing much faster than its production around the globe. "Therefore, the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant in Ostrovets, the widespread use of renewable and local fuels is an excellent foundation for the energy security of not only the present but also the future generations of Belarusians," the President stressed. "I am convinced that you will further implement the most advanced practices and remain the driver of the national economy."

The Head of State wished the workers and veterans of the energy industry good health, peace, prosperity, good mood and inexhaustible energy to conquer new heights.
