Kochanova: first Belarus-Uzbekistan women’s business forum should be held at high level and generate results
The first Belarus-Uzbekistan women’s business forum should be held at a high level, but the most important thing is that it should generate concrete results – as noted by Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova during the organisational meeting on the preparation of this event. The forum will take place in our country next week, and, according to the Speaker of the Upper House of the Belarusian Parliament, the final programme has already been formed.
“We have reached the final stage of preparing the first Belarus-Uzbekistan women’s business forum,” Natalya Kochanova stated. “The number of forum participants has doubled. From the Uzbek side, about a hundred people will come to us: this is a parliamentary delegation, the business community, as well as representatives of twenty Uzbek enterprises.”
Natalya Kochanova added that at the same time, a parliamentary delegation headed by Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva would visit Belarus. The programme of the visit includes attending sites, getting acquainted with the economy of our country, as well as the work of the forum sections, which cover all areas: industry, light industry, agriculture, science and education, culture, healthcare.
“We tried to cover everything in order to acquaint our Uzbek guests with what is in our country, in order to share experience,” added Natalya Kochanova. “Therefore, I would very much like the sectional work to be filled with good practices for co-operation. Interaction with this country is important for us. Uzbekistan is one of our strategic partners. We have already established contacts across many areas, and we’re liaising quite successfully. Moreover, I really want us to show Belarus in all its glory, because we have something to show.”
