Expert on deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus

If a neighbour periodically aims a gun at us, then he probably has not the best intentions – as noted by political scientist Aleksandr Shpakovsky in his talk with the ONT TV channel

The expert noted that Belarus treats its neighbours well, “We still maintain a visa-free regime for them. We are peaceful people – these are the first lines of our national anthem.”

At the same time, Aleksandr Shpakovsky drew attention to Poland’s significant increase in its military potential, “Nobody believes in the possibility of war. But I will ask the question: why are the Poles progressively increasing their military spending? Why do they have a military budget for 2023 of 21.5bn Euros? We understand that if a neighbour periodically aims a gun at us, then he probably has not the best intentions. There [in Poland] there are 500 modules for HIMARS, South Korean tanks, helicopters, planes, artillery. All this is aimed at our country. New units are being created, the army is being doubled in number – up to 330,000 troops.”

The political scientist underlined that our country found a symmetrical response to such actions, referring to the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus, “Did we enter into alliance relations with a superpower Russia in vain? Is it in vain that we have a common Fatherland, the Union State? Our allies helped us. The President of Belarus clearly said everything: legally, nuclear weapons will be Russian, but everything will be handed over to us. And do not hesitate: if the Poles again climb here to kill our people, burn them in outbuildings, in churches, in houses, as they did, then they will receive a worthy answer.”
