Expert comments on situation with refugees at the border: Polish border guards remain unpunished
The number of atrocities committed by Polish border guards against refugees on the Belarusian-Polish border is increasing virtually on a daily basis, and political expert Aleksandr Shpakovsky shared his views on the situation
In his talk with Alfa Radio, the expert noted that most of the refugees are fleeing their countries because of the military-political situation, “People are trying to get asylum in the European Union. However, they face beating and some even death upon reaching this ‘tolerant’ Europe that falsely declares some attitudes to the whole world, but actually adheres to a completely different policy. How can this international policy be treated? Europeans’ position is false and absolutely Pharisaic. In this situation, it is simply impossible not to express indignation. Our country documents all these crimes of Polish, Latvian and Lithuanian border guards, and we will convey this fact to international organisations. It should be understood that there are not a few such crimes, many refugees were brought to death, and many were killed.”
Mr. Shpakovsky stressed that the current situation on the Polish-Belarusian border corresponds to the principles of Italian fascism, “Some time ago, the Italian politician Benito Mussolini declared the following rule: ‘for my friends, everything; for my enemies, the law’. Poles remain unpunished because the so-called international communities are controlled by the United States.”
The expert recalled that fifteen refugees died on the Polish-Belarusian border last year. “Perhaps the figure is even higher, but no checks are carried out by Poland. The state of emergency is still in effect in the border zone on the territory of this country. Poles do not allow civilians, journalists, doctors and even their own deputies to go there. All attempts to look at what is really happening at the border are stopped by Poland’s special services. We only have one question: what are you hiding there? Belarus, in turn, is open, and every journalist or doctor can come to the border upon prior request,” he noted.
