EOC: Istanbul confirmed as 2027 European Games host city

During its meeting, the Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) unanimously awarded the 4th edition of the European Games, in 2027, to Istanbul – as reported by the press service of Belarus’ National Olympic Committee (NOC)

The decision to award Istanbul the hosting rights for the 2027 European Games will now undergo final approval at the EOC General Assembly in Bucharest on June 6th-7th.

The European Games have been held since 2015 every four years, involving about 50 countries. In 2019, Minsk hosted the 2nd European Games.
