The international forum of business contacts Brest – China. Strategic Partnership will be held on April 23rd-25th, sb.by reports with reference to the Telegram channel of the Brest Regional Executive Committee
This is the first time a forum of this format will be organised in the regional centre. The emphasis is on comprehensive co-operation between the Brest Region and China. More than 250 participants are expected.
“China is one of the main partners of Belarus in general and the Brest Region in particular. More than 100 of our Chinese partners expressed a desire to come to the forum. These are representatives of government, business, and the social sphere. We will sign memoranda and agreements. We expect maximum results from the forum to attract Chinese partners to our region and, accordingly, to increase trade turnover between the Brest Region and China,” the Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, Mikhail Batsenko, stated, adding that the trade turnover between the Brest Region and China is growing, and exports are also increasing.
The programme will be quite intense. Thus, on April 23rd, the parties will sign bilateral agreements. On this day, the work will be organised in several sections. The partners will discuss the results and prospects of co-operation in industry, innovation, construction, logistics, education, healthcare, science, sports, and tourism. The participants will be offered to get acquainted with the infrastructure, visit enterprises, hospitals, universities, and sports complexes.
Mikhail Batsenko also noted that the partners were invited to visit enterprises not only in Brest. They will visit the Brestmash enterprise, the Brest Science and Technology Park, and assess the conditions for logistics (the airport and the Brest-Severny station). There are areas for co-operation in the social sphere, so hospitals and universities are also included in the programme.
A business matchmaking session is scheduled for April 24th. The guests will also visit the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex and the Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park.
