“A mission from Smolensk Region led by Governor Vasily Anokhin visited BKM Holding on their tour around Belarus. Business talks took place after the guests had been introduced to the company’s production facilities. As per our road map, we are going to co-operate on modernising the Smolensk tram pool. The governor also expressed interest in our trolleybuses,” elaborated the media representatives.

Founded in 1973 as the Minsk Tram and Trolleybus Repair Plant, BKM Holding released its first Belarusian-made trolleybus in 1994 and the first tram in 1999. In 2009, the company finished developing its maiden low-platform tram; production of trolleybuses with increased drive range launched in 2015. A year later, BKM Holding started making electric buses. Today, BKM Holding is a leading manufacturer of electric public transport: electric buses, trolleybuses, and trams, along with charging equipment for them.
