Best technologies of Belarus and world – Healthcare of Belarus international forum opened in Minsk
The 29th International Medical Forum Healthcare of Belarus – 2024 has officially opened in Minsk. This is one of the key medical events in Belarus. The current forum is timed to coincide with the 105th anniversary of the healthcare system, includes an exhibition and an extensive business programme, and attracts the attention of a large number of experts. This year, more than 160 exhibitors from eight countries are participating in the forum, including leading domestic and foreign manufacturers of medical equipment, medical products, consumables, dental equipment, and pharmaceutical products.
Our country pays great attention to the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle, competence and technology development in the field of qualified and quality medical care. At the forum, it is possible to see how our country's healthcare system is developing and how advanced international technologies are being introduced. Belarus' partners in the healthcare sector came to the exhibition.
“We are glad to welcome friends from the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, Egypt, Cuba, Iran, and other friendly countries who are taking an active part in the forum. We are proud that by the end of 2023, our exports of medical services to 140 countries of the world amounted to more than $40m. Students from more than 50 countries receive high-quality medical education in Belarus. For 2023 alone, the figure for the export of educational services amounted to more than $30m,” the Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Petrishenko, noted.
The best developments of the republican scientific and practical centres and advanced clinics are presented at the forum site. The whole range of issues related to maintaining human health will be actively discussed, and most importantly, new approaches and techniques will be developed.
“We are actively working with the international community and promoting our advanced developments to the international pool of medical science. This year has been declared the Year of Quality in Belarus by the decision of the Head of State. Human health depends on high-quality medical care. We provide the necessary medical care, from the smallest village and farm to regional centres and the capital. The built-up medical care system allows us to provide a full range of medical services so that people are proud of the level of medicine in our country. We are working on advanced technologies, there are certain developments and proposals, including the introduction of artificial intelligence, but no matter how it is developed, everything depends on the doctor’s qualifications,” Igor Petrishenko stressed.
