Belarusian dairy products received certification for supply to Algerian market
On April 15th, Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik held talks with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Youcef Cherfa, who was appointed Co-chairman of the Belarusian-Algerian Joint Commission on Trade-Economic and Sci-Tech Co-operation – as reported by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service
The negotiations focused on bilateral projects in the agricultural sector and agricultural machine building, as well as practical aspects of the work of the joint commission, including the terms of its meeting scheduled for the coming months.
“In this regard, Youcef Cherfa, in line with the Belarusian side’s invitation, confirmed his intention to visit Minsk in the near future and continue substantive talks. As a result of the meeting, the issue of certification of Belarusian dairy products for the supply to the Algerian market has been settled,” the Foreign Ministry reported.
The corresponding certificates were signed by the Algerian side and handed over to the Belarusian delegation after the talks. The Algerian Ministry of Agriculture and Food also transferred its draft project to certify Belarusian meat products to the country’s market.
