Belarus’ President scholarships for 2025 granted to 66 young scientists
Sixty-six young scientists have been awarded scholarships by the President of Belarus for 2025 in line with a decree signed by Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko on December 11th, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
Among those awarded are five doctors of sciences under the age of 45, thirty-five candidates of sciences under the age of 35 and twenty-six young scientists without a degree under the age of 30. They come from various sciences: physical, mathematical, technical, chemical, biological, medical, pharmaceutical, agrarian, social, humanities and Earth sciences. Each scholarship holder has significant results and achievements in priority areas of scientific, sci-tech and innovative activities and has contributed to Belarus’ socio-economic development.
All researches and developments are of applied nature, implemented in practical activities of organisations of the real sector of the economy, healthcare, education and science institutions.
President’s scholarships to young scientists have been awarded since 2005 on the basis of the results of an annual open republican competition to stimulate creative initiative and intellectual research of young scientists.
This measure of state support is aimed at retaining young people in science, strengthening the human resources potential of scientific organisations, and developing domestic scientific schools designed to provide breakthrough developments in the real sector of the economy and the social sphere.
