Belarus’ Economy Minister on plans for 2025: growth of population’s basic income to exceed 4%

It is necessary for our citizens, ordinary people, to feel the growth of prosperity, so the growth of basic income is planned at the level of just over 4 percent, Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar told the ONT TV channel

“We’re very pleased with the implementation of our One District – One Project initiative. There are already more than 40 completed projects, and we expect a major surge in project completions this year. This is already from the position of long-term development of our country, certain foundations for sustainable growth for the next five years. It is necessary for our citizens, ordinary people, to feel the growth of prosperity. Therefore, the growth of basic income is planned to be slightly more than 4 percent,” Mr. Chebotar noted.

The official also added that the plan is to continue to supply and increase our diversification in export markets in 2025, “This is the far arc countries, the Asian region, with China being our key partner in this region. All of them remain a priority. The Russian Federation also remains our number one priority.”
