Ambassador: Belarus-Pakistan relations turned into multifaceted partnership
The relations between Belarus and Pakistan have turned into a multifaceted partnership in a relatively short period of time – as stated by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Belarus, Sajjad Haider Khan, speaking at the National Library of Belarus during the opening ceremony of the Contemporary Art of Pakistan exhibition, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of independence of this country, BelTA reports
“Pakistan and Belarus maintain friendly relations, which in a relatively short period of time quickly turned into a multifaceted partnership,” noted the head of the diplomatic mission. “To further strengthen these ties, both countries increasingly sought to intensify interaction, paying special attention to expanding synergy in the fields of industry and agriculture, education, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, as well as science and technology.”
The Ambassador said that, alongside regular exchanges of business delegations and participation in each other’s exhibitions, two meetings of the Pakistan-Belarus Business Council and three meetings of joint working groups were held last year.
Sajjad Haider Khan said that lately special attention has been paid to cultural and educational co-operation. “In 2021 alone, we successfully held four exhibitions of Pakistani art and culture in different cities of Belarus. In this regard, I would like to note with gratitude the sincere co-operation with Belarusian friends,” stressed the Ambassador.
